Luca Bocca hails from Oltrepò Pavese, Italy, where he grew up among vineyards and developed a deep appreciation for wine, inspired by his uncle’s winemaking. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion.
After earning a degree in biomolecular biotechnologies at the University of Pavia, Luca chose to pursue a career in wine and hospitality. He began as a Waiter and Barista while studying for his first Sommelier diploma with AIS. His journey led him to London, where he worked at Brooks’s Club, gaining invaluable experience and discovering fine wines.
In 2022, he joined The Lecture Room and Library at Sketch, a 3-Michelin-star restaurant, progressing from Junior Sommelier to Assistant Head Sommelier. There, he deepened his knowledge, tasted rare wines, and worked alongside industry role models like Fred Brugues and Daniel Marzotto.
Luca continues to pursue growth and learning, driven by a genuine, lifelong passion for wine and its culture.
