Originally from Kraków, Poland, Magdalena began her career as a sommelier in 2016, quickly progressing to the role of Head Sommelier at Enoteka Pergamin in Kraków’s Old Town. During her six years there, her passion for food, wine and hospitality continued to grow, inspiring her to pursue further professional education.
She subsequently moved to the UK to take up the position of Head Sommelier at Northcote, a one Michelin-starred restaurant. She is now Food and Beverage Manager, overseeing the operations of the restaurant and bar, as well as its highly acclaimed wine programme. As wine curator, she works alongside Managing Director Craig Bancroft and Nick Adams MW to develop and maintain Northcote’s extensive wine list.
Since moving to the UK in 2022, Magdalena’s achievements have been recognised by the Top 100 Sommeliers UK awards, where she was named among the Top 5 Young Sommeliers in 2023, included in the Top 100 in 2024, and presented with an Innovation Award in 2025. The latter recognised her work in developing diverse wine pairings, including an extensive selection of alcohol-free beverages. In 2025, she was also ranked 34th in Harper’s Wine & Spirit’s Top 50.
Magdalena holds the WSET Diploma and is CMS Certified.
